This episode is heartbreaking. To see Lex so broken and confused hurts my heart. This episode is one of the many reasons I can never forgive Lionel. How he could look into the eyes of his son, strap him down to a table, and fry his brains, is unforgivable.
This episode also makes me want to slap Jonathan Kent. Lex bought the farm for the Kents and wanted nothing in return except to be a part of their family. He admired Jonathan, he wanted a father like Jonathan, a mother like Martha, and a brother like Clark. Thats all he wanted. Yet Jonathan still saw him as nothing more then a Luthor. He wanted Clark to let Lionel fry Lex’s brain.
Then there is the hug between Lex and Clark. One of the best hugs on television…also one of the gayest lol. I’m sorry but I can not watch that hug and think ‘wow what a great friendship’, no, I think ‘those two totally want to f*ck eachother’ lmao
